Assemble is led by two senior professionals; Andrew Dickinson and Steven Davis. Each with over 14 years draughting experience in New Zealand, UK & Canada, including time spent on some of New Zealand's largest and most complex projects.
Our specialist approach is based around a high standard of professional and personal integrity, senior technical expertise and complete project ownership.

Because we usually work behind the scenes, we take care to protect the privacy of our clients and as such do not publish our case studies online. We can however talk to you in more detail about specific case studies on a one to one basis.

Assemble was founded in 2004 to provide architects with an out-source documentation service that was both more innovative and more responsive to their needs. Integral to this promise are our five key principles;

- BIM – Building information modeling which allows us to seamlessly bridge design co-ordination and communication across the project team.
- Revit – 2D/3D documentation with 3D integrated modeling with pathways to 4D/5D.

Typically we’ll help your business in three different ways:
As an overflow resource
- Either for short-term projects that are time critical, technically challenging and highly detailed. Typically contemporary single residential homes.
- Or for longer-term projects that are less time critical but larger in scale and up-to two years in duration. Typically commercial or large-scale multi family and mixed-use buildings.
As a complete out-sourced drafting department
- Working across all of a practice’s projects regardless of scale or time frame. This allows the partners to focus on architectural design and the running of their practice, while we take care of delivering on the detail.
As a ‘longer business day’ drafting resource
- Being based in New Zealand we can offer an extended business day for our clients in the USA and the UK that delivers cost effective business continuity and does not compromise on quality.
For some projects we work behind the scenes, invisible to your clients whilst for others we will have contact directly with the end-client. We are happy to adapt to what your practice and the project requires.
At a one-to-one level we find the best projects operate with a single point of contact between Assemble and your project manager. This gives you a more efficient and more direct relationship with the Assemble job leader, and for us it means taking directions from only one voice - yours.

There are no set personality profiles for being part of the Assemble team, but we do value professional excellence, innovative thinking and personal responsibility very highly. As a small close-knit team we work hard, and make sure we enjoy ourselves along the way.
